Sincere Sentiments Week: Bursting with Fun with Jennifer McMurtrey!

Happy Friday! It’s Day 5 of our Sincere Sentiments: Congrats! Week here on the blog, and we are just so excited about the response to this new collection! We know you’ve gotten to see some wonderful cards created by our team and special guests this week, but we have two more to leave you with, created by Jennifer McMurtrey! If you’re in need of inspiration when your new Sincere Sentiments collection arrives, be sure to turn back to this week’s posts, and don’t forget to pin your favorite designs! Let’s take a look at the final post of the week!

Hello friends! By this time, I hope that all of you have had the opportunity to see the new Elle’s Studio Sincere Sentiments: Congrats! collection of stamps and metal dies. This new set coordinates perfectly with supplies you already have on hand and can be used on cards or layouts alike!

Today, I am sharing two new cards created with this fun, new collection. Let’s take a look.

Supplies | Sincere Sentiments Congrats Stamp, Sincere Sentiments Congrats Metal Die, Love You Paper Stack, Warm Solids Paper Stack

The first card, “Congrats on Your Success,” pairs both of the new stamps and metal die. To create this look, I stamped the bursts in five different colors on the top and bottom edges of white cardstock. To make the process easier, I used a stamping platform to ensure I had consistent images on the card base. After stamping the bursts, I used the same inks and stamped tiny hearts throughout.

To create the title, I used the “congrats” metal die with a beautiful pink paper from the Warm Solids Paper Stack. Next, I used the same die and cut four more of the sentiments from cardstock, which were then glued together to give the appearance of it being chipboard. For a final touch, I used clear embossing powder to give the word a bit of shine.

Using the same process, I stamped the smaller sentiment and then glued several of the same together. Both of the sentiments were then glued to the stamped cardstock. Once everything was assembled, I added several clear Nuvo drops for texture.

Last, I assembled the card using patterned paper from the Love You Paper Stack as the base, which I adhered to a folded card base.

Next, is the “Huge congrats” card that uses a completely different color scheme—my favorite. I love the rich, earthy tones!

This card was constructed in the same manner as the previous. I stamped the background in a vertical pattern using three different ink colors, which was then adhered to a rust-colored paper from the Warm Solids Paper Stack.

I created the title using stamps and dies from the Sincere Sentiments: Congrats! collection. However, rather than create a chipboard look, I used foam strips to adhere it to the card front

After the card was assembled, I added a few Nuvo drops in a copper color that enhances the card beautifully.
