A Merry Christmas Gift with Marsha Farris

Hey, Elle’s Studio friends! It’s Marsha here today, and I’m excited to share a traveler’s notebook layout using the December 2021 kit and add-ons! I love documenting my December memories, and the release this month was perfect for creating a spread in my holiday album.

Supplies | December 2021 Kit, Document December 2021 Kit, Grateful Chipboard Stickers, Puffy Asterisk Stickers, Holiday Magic Gold Puffy Stickers, The Merriest Vellum Die Cuts, Wonder Paper StackGood Times Banner StampWinter Tabs StampParker Outlined Alphabet Stamp, Parker Alphabet Metal Dies, Holiday Tags Metal Die, Everyday Tabs Metal Die

I chose to use a pocket page with 2 x 2 inch pockets for the left page of my spread. I began by trimming a patterned paper from the Wonder Paper Stac to approximately 2.25 x 8.5 inches to cover one column of the pockets. I created my title on the patterned paper strip by die cutting the word “merry” using the Holiday Tags Metal Die and then backed it with red patterned paper. To complete the title, I used a word sticker from the Holiday Magic Gold Puffy Stickers and added a stamped word using the Parker Outlined Alphabet Stamp and coordinating Metal Dies. I then adhered the entire title piece to the page protector.

Next, I began filling the pockets by stamping on a tag from the Grateful Chipboard Stickers using the Good Times Banner Stamp and dark green ink. I added a tag from the December Kit onto a piece of trimmed vellum for the next pocket and did a bit more stamping with the Winter Tabs Stamp. The final pockets were filled with a trimmed journaling tag from the December Kit and die cuts from the Document December 2021 Kit. I also added vellum hearts from The Merriest Vellum Die Cuts to the page.

For the other side of the layout, I printed a close-up photo of my poinsettia to fit as a full page in the album. I also printed a smaller picture and layered it over the large photo. I embellished the page simply with another vellum heart and a Puffy Asterisk Sticker

For my journaling, I typed onto a tag from the December Kit and added a tab to the top created with the Winter Tabs Stamp and Everyday Tabs Metal Die. I created a pocket behind the large photo and slipped the journaling tag into it. I love how this turned out! To complete the layout, I added the Puffy Asterisk Stickers and stamping with the Good Times Banner Stamp to several areas of the spread.

I hope you are inspired to use the December kit and add-ons for your next project! Thanks so much for stopping by today! Happy creating!
