Documenting a Favorite Recipe with Junell Kruzel

Hello, Elle’s Studio friends! It’s Junell on the blog today sharing my latest layout with you using the November 2021 kit and add-ons. This month’s kit is so versatile. There are pieces with a fall vibe you can use now and also pieces you can save and use for your Document December project!

Supplies | November 2021 KitHoliday Fun Stickers, Jane Tile Alphabet Cardstock Stickers – RedPuffy Heart and Star Stickers, Magical Acetate Circles, Wonder Paper Stack, A Merry Moment Stamp, Small Tile Alphabet Stamp

For this project, I leaned towards the fall options in the November Kit to record and share my favorite Autumn Chopped Salad recipe and pictures. It’s so delicious and perfect for this time of year!

I printed out my pictures and knew I wanted to use the tags that looked like recipe cards and then also picked out some dark and light green papers from the Wonder Paper Stack. I played around with the placement and decided to put the pictures and cards on an angle to give it some interest.

I wrote out the recipe and some journaling using my own handwriting because I wanted it to look like the old fashioned recipe cards our grandmothers used.

On the November Kit “The Details” tag, I added specific instructions to make the salad super yummy!

I added the title using the red Jane Tile Alphabet Cardstock Stickers and I just love how they match the photo of the cranberries! I also used the Small Tile Alphabet Stamp for the title.

I then spent some time embellishing using the Magical Acetate Circles first, stapling them down and then added Puffy Heart and Star Stickers. I made sure to use red ones and placed them where they would create a visual triangle. I also used die cuts from the November Kit and the Holiday Fun Stickers.

I’m so glad I have this recipe recorded now! Have fun using the November 2021 Kit and all of the extras and let me know if you use it to record any of your own special recipes! Thanks for reading!
