Back-to-School Encouragement with Guest Danielle Dunlop

Today we’re excited to welcome our August guest back to the blog: Danielle Dunlop! Today Danielle is switching things up from her first post to share handmade positivity to your day! Let’s check out what she created!

Hi everyone! It’s Danielle here with some more projects made with the gorgeous August kit and add-ons. This time I didn’t make a layout, but I went for two other projects: cards!

The first one is a back to school card. It’s that time of the year again, and this is a fun way to give a kid some encouragement to start the new school year! I started creating a background with the Lizzy Alphabet Stamp. I randomly placed the letters, numbers and some punctuation over the background and stamped it in a light pink. Then I stamped it again with Versamark ink and clear heat embossed it for a shiny effect!

The Back To School Wood Veneers added the perfect sentiment, and I topped it with the pencils, heart and star from the Proud Of You Die Cuts. The grey card backing it all is from the August Kit. It had ‘documented’ printed on it, but I covered that up with one of the pencils.

Finally I glued the card on top of one of the papers from the Good Times Paper Stack.

The second card was made with the new Pocket Envelope Metal Die. I’m totally in love with this die, it allows you to quickly make a cute card with an envelope. For this one, I stayed with the back-to-school theme. I die cut the envelope and card using patterns from the Good Times Paper Stack and decorated the card with the You Got This Stamp, Back To School Wood Veneers and Acrylic Stars.

Now the best part is that this die set goes perfectly with the Open Here Stamp, which makes it super easy to decorate your envelopes.

But that’s not all! The Pocket Envelope Metal Die comes with additional die shapes that match the Open Here Stamp, You Got This Stamp. I love it when all these sets come together this way! In the picture below you see some examples of stamps from these sets along with the matching dies.

Thank you for stopping by today! I really enjoyed being here as a guest designer this month and I can’t wait to eall your creations made with the August 2021 kit and add-ons!

My name is Danielle and together with my husband and our fur baby Blink we live on a tiny remote Caribbean island called Saba. We have our own restaurant here, which keeps us busy, but I will always need my creative time. I like to try new creative hobbies all the time, but scrapbooking is the one thing I have been doing for about 20 years now. My pages are either clean or they get real messy when I use mixed media.

Be sure to follow Danielle on her Instagram feed to see more layout and amazing card creations. We thank you so much for inspiring us this month, Danielle!
