Stamp Week: Using Noted Four Ways with Nicole Kerr

It’s day four of our Stamp Week, and we’ve been having so much fun seeing how our team is using our favorite stamps in the shop! Today we welcome Nicole Kerr to share some amazing ideas using our Noted Vol. 3 Stamp, but whatever Noted stamp you have in your stash, we know that you’ll be inspired by her ideas! We also want to wish Nicole a very happy birthday, today! Be sure to show her some love in a comment at the end of the post!

Hello scrappy friends! It’s Nicole here! Who else is loving Stamp Week like I have been?! I have been so inspired by all of the ways to use our stamps and have so many ideas for future projects! Today, I’m sharing a fun layout focusing on the Noted Vol. 3 Stamp and how to use it on your projects!

I just love the Noted stamps because they are the perfect solution to creating your own customized 3″ x 4″ tags. Need a specific color? Grab your ink and a stamp from the set and TA-DA! Ran out of your “currently” tags or need one in a different color? Grab white cardstock, ink and TA-DA! You can even add pops of texture by heat embossing. There are endless ways to use these sets! For my layout, I’m stepping outside of the box. I love doing this from time to time to stretch my stamp sets and make them work for me! Let’s explore four different ways to use these stamps, shall we?!

The first way is to use them to create a personalized 3″ x 4″ tag. Don’t want the stamp to be all one color? No worries! Grab a few different ink colors and customize it to match the colors in your project! Here I used four different colors of ink for the arrows stamp to add different pops of color to my journaling tag. The second way is to use it to make color-coordinated ephemera! I needed something a little extra to the left of my journaling tag, so I added the days of the week stamp and circled the day that corresponded to my journaling.

The third way to use the Noted Vol. 3 Stamp is to add to existing tags that you already have in your stash. I loved the color blocking of the coral tag above from the April 2021 Kit, but I already wrote my journaling on the other tag. For this piece, I stamped the “today” list and used it as another large embellishment piece to document how I was feeling and what I was thinking!

The fourth way to use these stamps is to create your own custom patterns! On the top and bottom of the page, I added little pops of color to bring this layout all together! To do this, I tore pieces from my 12″ x 12″ paper and then used the outlined “today” stamp to create a multi-color, repeated pattern. It creates the look of patterned paper peeking out from behind the background.

I love how this layout came together and I think the large “40” Large Acetate Numbers from last month’s release was the perfect addition to “40 & Fabulous!” Today, I celebrate turning 40 with Elle’s Studio and I wouldn’t have wanted anything more than to share it here with you! Thanks for making my day special! Have a colorful day!
