Using our List Stamp in pockets with Candace Perkins

Hello friends! Candace with you today to share a pocket page layout using the new List Stamp as inspiration to drive the design and feel of the layout.

I knew that I wanted to create a layout about my anniversary this month but I was unsure about the overall design and direction that I wanted to go as I was creating. When I saw that List stamp I knew exactly how I wanted to design the layout. I love when I get inspired by products and let them drive the design and direction! Here is a first look at the layout the stamp inspired:

Supplies| August 2020 Kit, List Stamp, Wood Veneer Circles, Acrylic Hearts, Chipboard Tags, A New Day Stickers, Bright Polka Dot 6 x 8.5 inch Paper Stack, Summer Fun 6 x 8.5 inch Paper Stack.

I started by printing a bunch of photos of my husband and I over the years. Next, I looked over the stamp to get inspired about the overall design of the spread. I let the sentiments on the stamp guide the cards on the layout. I liked the idea of highlighting the happy memories and moments over the years. I used the “HIGHLIGHT” stamp on the card on the upper left along with a “happy” sticker from the A New Day Sticker sheet to create a title card. I also used a sentiment from the Chipboard Tag sheet along with a cute Wood Veneer Circle with hearts to create an embellishment card on the upper right.

Using a 4×6 card from the August Kit I cut it in half to create two 3×4 cards and added small, square, black and white photos to create two new cards for the spread. I love the look of vintage typewriting so I decided to add sentiments and journaling to the cards across the spread with my vintage typewriter.

For the card on the bottom left I cut a 3×4 card from the Summer Fun Paper Stack and added a sentiment from the A New Day Stickers along with a small, black acrylic heart. The center card was created by stamping the numbered lines on a 3×4 card and adding a fun “I WANT TO REMEMBER” stamp sentiment. I love that I can use the numbered lines to create a list about anything! With the versatility of this stamp set it can be used for any project!

This was such a fun layout to create! I love that the stamp set was able to inspire the direction and design of the spread. It is so important to me to tell these stories and to capture these moments so my family and I can cherish them for years to come. Memories and moments matter! With how crazy life is right now remembering the special things is more important than ever. What will you document this month? What projects will you use the List Stamp for? We would love to see all your projects! Share them with us on Instagram using the #ellestudio hashtag or in the Elle’s Studio Facebook Group
