Strike a Scrappy Pose with Tracey Fox

Do you ever scrapbook about scrapbooking? It’s actually one of my very favorite things to scrap about! When the Crafty Stickers were released this month, I was so excited to put them to use on a layout about a recent girls’ scrapbooking trip I took.

Inspired by the cute scissors stickers on the Crafty Stickers sheet, I decided that the main story I wanted to tell with this layout was about this hilarious moment from our trip when I struck a goofy pose with my scissors in a photo, so I printed that photo largest at 4″ x 6″. As a multi-photo scrapper at heart, though, I also printed a bunch of 2″ x 3″ photos of us enjoying time together around our crop table.

For the design of my page, I laid the vertical 2″ x 3″ photos out in a band stretching across the top of the layout with my favorite colorful patterned paper from the Flourish 6 x 8.5 Paper Stack. It was so fun to embellish the photos by sticking the Crafty Stickers on them wherever they fit best! I also added a couple of the die cuts from the May 2020 Kit and one of the May Labels.

For the bottom half of the layout, I focused on the story of the scissors photo. I layered colorful tags from the May Kit and paper scraps from the Flourish 6 x 8.5 Paper Stack under my photos and embellished the photos with more Crafty Stickers, a “this happened” stamp from the Currently Icon Stamp, and a chipboard arrow from the Icon Chipboard Stickers to point right to my silly pose.

I used the “currently making” Crafty Sticker as a start to my journaling about how that photo is “making me laugh,” and I decided to grab the Typewriter Alphabet Stamp to stamp out a long, large title quoting and describing the scene. I just love this versatile stamp set!

I couldn’t resist adding more of the fun stickers scissors from the Crafty Stickers around my stamped title to play up my silly story even more. I want to see how you use the Crafty Stickers and what crafty stories you are documenting!
