Love Documented with Wendy Antenucci

Documenting those that we love the most doesn’t have to mean a project filled with pink and red hearts! As Wendy Antenucci is showing us today, it should include photos of the people we love the most, and a design that brings us as much joy as the people we’re documenting. Let’s take a look at her layout:

Hello everyone! It’s Wendy here today with a layout all about LOVE!  This month I was determined to find multiple uses for the Bright Die Cut Labels, and I succeeded: I used every last one on today’s layout and one more layout coming soon to the inspiration gallery!

Supplies | February 2019 Kit, Bright Die Cut Labels, Oh Happy Day Stamp, Little Acrylic Stars, Wood Veneer Confetti, Large Jane Alphabet Stamp – Stripes

When I first got my February box and opened the Bright Die Cut Labels, I separated the circle tags and laid them on a 12″ x 12″ white cardstock background. I found a pleasing configuration, and added in a few acrylic stars, and then it sat. I worked around the half-finished page for a few weeks waiting for inspiration to finish the job. The other day, I decided to find recent pictures of my children and cut them into circle shapes to match what I had already started. My page was back on track!

The page was still missing that “ahh-haa” moment, until I pulled out some of my inks and began using a blotting technique with plastic wrap, which even someone like me can’t mess up!  That little bit of color created just the right pop to make my pictures, labels, and little bits and pieces stand out.

I added in some stamping with the Oh Happy Day Stamp next to add in some interest to the background and a few pops of black for boldness.

The last piece of the puzzle was putting a title on the page.  I began playing around with the striped Large Jane Alphabet Stamp and fussy cut out the letters. (You can also find NEW metal dies for these awesome alphabet stamps in the shop!)  Tip: to get a clean image with your stamping, I like to use a mouse pad underneath my surface that I am stamping on, it really helps getting a nice, even image.

A splatter of black mist tied all the pieces together and finished my page about my children.

Sometimes life as a mommy is overwhelming to put it mildly, but children are a blessing.  So treasure each and every day, and all the messes that come with the territory because one day, I promise you will look back and miss the chaos that love brings!
