From Sketch to Finish Vol. 4 Highlight with Tracey Fox

Have you downloaded your copy of From Sketch to Finish Vol. 4 yet? I’ve collected every installment of this awesome series of classes from Elle’s Studio, and just like the previous versions, this one does NOT disappoint! I had a great time following one of the 20 bonus sketches in the class PDF and making a layout using some of the most recently released products in the Elle’s Studio shop!

Supplies | From Sketch to Finish Vol. 4, November 2018 Kit, Labeled Journaling TagsJane Alphabet Stickers — Red, Jane Alphabet Stickers — White, Christmas Hand Drawn Acrylic Hearts, Merry and Bright 6″ x 6″ Paper Stack, Mini Dated Stamp, Noteworthy Stamp, Noteworthy 12″ x 12″ Paper Collection

The sketch I chose featured a grid of six 3″ x 4″ elements, which is so versatile since you can fill those spots with photos, journaling tags, or other items of that size. I decided to rotate the sketch and scrap four 4″ x 3″ selfies of me and my best friend, and I used tags from the November 2018 Kit to fill in the gaps.

Since we took these photos in a room that was filled with red light, I pulled out the red and pink paper from the Noteworthy 12″ x 12″ Paper Collection and paired it with red and pink bits from the November Kit, the new Merry & Bright 6″ x 6″ Paper Stack, and the new Labeled Journaling Tags. To make the “Enjoying This” and the “Oh, What Fun!” tags work on the page even though they were vertically oriented, I trimmed them into 3″ x 3″ squares and layered up other red and pink tags behind them. I used red and white Jane Alphabet Stickers on each of those tags to create a title and show the location of the photos.

Once my photos and tags were placed in the grid formation on my page, all I had left to do was to embellish a bit. I used the Mini Dated Stamp to stamp the date on a label fussy cut from the Labeled Journaling Tags, and I adhered it and some of the diecuts from the November Kit around the page. I also glued down a couple of the Christmas Hand Drawn Acrylic Hearts and added some additional stamping using the Noteworthy Stamp. I love the end result of this all red and pink grid layout!

I just love how fast a page comes together when it’s inspired by a great sketch! If you haven’t picked up your copy of the class yet, what are you waiting for?! I’m so excited to work my way through From Sketch to Finish Vol. 4 and create many more pages inspired by the awesome sketches and examples in the class.
