Hello! It’s Lorilei back today, sharing a layout using the October Kit and add-ons! These kits are jam-packed with inspiring goodies! The colorful number block journaling tag caught my eye, and I decided to trim the blocks and use them with five photos!
Supplies | October 2018 Kit, October Labels, Jane Alphabet Stickers — Black, Home Sweet Home Wood Veneer, Stars and Dots Puffy Stickers, Thankful Stamp
I started out by painting the background with black gesso. I knew the layout would be colorful and I wanted a spot to ground everything! Below the painted area I added my title with the Jane Alphabet Stickers. These stickers are awesome, and you get tons of letters on one sheet! I selected a few phrases from the Thankful Stamp and added them around my title!
All five of the photos I chose are things I love around home in autumn. The adorable Home Sweet Home Wood Veneer brings the whole layout together for me! I love that Elle’s Studio designs are so great for everyday life photos. It is the reason I use these products almost exclusively in my pocket albums!
Once I had my photos printed and paired up with the five numbers from the October Kit, I decided to color block the photo spots. I added foam to the back of photos 1, 3 and 5 to vary the height of the areas. I chose coordinating October Labels and stars from the Stars and Dots Puffy Stickers—my favorite item this month—to add next to each photo. The sweet little “the best” circle from the October Kit die cuts was just the finishing touch I needed!
