A Noteworthy Micro Mini with Jamie Leija

Mini albums are perfect for documenting special memories in a compact way, and even better when you can give one to a friend to help them remember moments that you’ve shared with them! That’s what Jamie Leija did with the tiny albums she’s sharing with us today, created using the Noteworthy collection! Let’s take a look:

I recently spent a happy weekend in April in Austin, Texas with my best girls. We had a total blast re-visiting our university and old haunts. I knew I wanted to commemorate the trip in a small way and also thank them for an awesome weekend. Thus, the micro mini was born! It’s part mini book, part thank you card, all fun!

I used products from the new Noteworthy collection to create these coordinating minis, one for each friend. They aren’t identical but they’re very similar.

I started by trimming a 12″ x 12″ sheet of patterned paper from the Noteworthy 12×12 Paper Collection down to 4″ x 6″, then I folded it in half. Next, I cut a sheet of white cardstock down to just smaller than that. I folded it in the middle and stitched the two together, creating the base of the mini.

There were four main photos that I wanted to use, with my favorite on the cover. We’re laughing hysterically at a funny moment that had just happened. I converted the photo to black and white so that you’d focus on just the moment and nothing else.

I hand wrote a note to each of them and paired it with another photo of the three of us. The embellishing on this bit was very minimal. I focused on circles in different textures: die cuts from the Noteworthy Bits and Pieces, Noteworthy Epoxy Stickers, and tiny Noteworthy Puffy Stickers.

On the last pages, I did a bit of documenting. I wanted to record all of the highlights from our trip, because we did a lot and had so much fun in the process! I embellished throughout the book, mixing both flat and dimensional embellishments like the Noteworthy Word Labels and Noteworthy Puffy Stickers. I also completely loved the “so much fun” sentiment from the Noteworthy Stamp! I’m so happy it’s included in the stamp set!

I’m so excited to send these micro mini’s off to my girls. I always want to remember this great weekend with them, and now they will have something tangible to remember it by, too.
