December in Pockets with Laura Hager

It’s that time of year again! Not only are we making memories with the people we love and decking the halls, but we’re documenting those memories, too! Today, Laura Hager is with us to share how she’s filling in the blanks from last year, using the November Kit and Document December supplies!

Hi there! It’s Laura here to show you a pocket page layout I made with the November Kit! What I love about these monthly kits is that they are so versatile. You can make a really colorful layout or you can pick a color scheme to highlight. For this layout, I choose to pick a color scheme. I used gray and red from the November Kit with pops of green!

Like every layout, I started by picking out which photos I wanted to document. Then, I looked through all the tags in the November Kit to find my favorites. I also used one 4″ x 6″ tag from the Document December Kit. I wanted this layout to feel warm and cozy, so the gray and red tags were perfect.

In my weekly album, I always have the dates for the week in the first pocket. I love the gray buffalo check tag, so I knew I wanted that to be the title for the week. I added a die cut label from the kit and stamped the dates and “share joy” from the Document December Stamp. The left side of the layout needed a little green, so I added the Green Puffy Alphabet Stickers to spell out December. That little bit of green really tied the whole page together.

I had so much fun documenting all of the peppermint mochas I drank in December, so I loved including the Starbucks cup photo in this layout. Adding little labels to photos with the date is one of my favorite ways of documenting the details of the photos. I used the labels from the Document December Kit to mark the date on each photo in this layout.

This fun 4″ x 6″ tag from the Document December Kit was such a cute way to record some of my favorite things during that time. I used a typewriter to fill in the boxes and then added “fa la la” from the Document December Stamp for a little extra detail. I accidentally messed up in one of the boxes, so I used a die cut from the November Kit to cover the mistake. It fit perfectly! I love when mistakes create even better projects.

I love documenting November and December. It’s such a fun time of year, and the November Kit is perfect for documenting those warm and cozy memories!
