Everyday Documentation + Process Video with Jen Schow

At first glance, the November Kit and extras look primed to document the upcoming holiday season, but take another look! With plenty of sentiments and tags to document everyday life, the possibilities of stories to tell are endless. Today, Jen Schow is showing us how she used these tags to create a layout about a special person in her life. Let’s take a look.

Hello again! It’s Jen here to share another layout + process video with you using the November 2017 Kit and extras. Elle has a great way of making sure there’s a good mix of holiday and everyday type journaling tags and die cuts in the kits each month, and for today’s layout, I pulled out all of the tags and die cuts that were more generic.

Supplies | November 2017 Kit, Giving Thanks Puffy Stickers, Pure Joy StampDays of the Week Stamp, Stanley Jr. Alphabet Stamp – Solid

I love that the tags included in the kit were blue and gray because they happened to match my photo perfectly! I lined all of my tags up in a haphazard stack on the left side of my page leaving a space for journaling on the bottom tag.

I tucked little bits and pieces from the kit die cuts, the Giving Thanks Puffy Stickers, and some stamps from the Pure Joy Stamp all around the layers of my journaling tags.

I added a title above my photo with the Giving Thanks Puffy Stickers and the solid Stanley Jr. Alphabet Stamp. Those stamps are soooo perfect for subtitles! I added a few more die cuts and stickers to create a little cluster to the right of my title to balance all of the embellishment on the other side of the page, added some paint splatters and called it good.

You can see how the whole thing came together in my process video below!
