Creating Cards with Guest Designer Vicki Boutin!

We have loved having Vicki Boutin create with our newest October release, and today she’s sharing how she’s using up those extra leftover pieces from her kit, with two beautiful cards! Let’s see what she made.

It has been such a pleasure being a part of the October Kit release this month. I have been a fan of Elle’s Studio the “brand” and the lady behind it for a number of years and want to thank Elle and Meghann for having me as a guest designer.

For my last project, I decided to stretch the bits I had left over from my first project! Take a look…

I had a ton of stamped leaves from the So Cozy Stamp that I had created for my first blog post left and I thought… cards! I love using my extra bits to make cute cards!

The first card was created with the “thankful” saying cut from a tag in the October 2017 Kit, the star Family Fun Bits and Pieces topped with the Halloween Puffy Stickers, and I wrapped twine through the leaves and glued it in place.

Here is a closer look.

The second card was created quickly with a few scalloped borders cut from the Family Fun 6″ x 6″ Paper Stack! I added a watercolor background created with Vicki Boutin Art Crayons.

The So Cozy Stamp is AWESOME! It includes a great mix of detail stamps and text and I love the versatility!

Thanks again for stopping by and allowing me to share a few creations using the Elle’s Studio October kit and extras!

Vicki Boutin has been paper crafting and documenting life with her husband and son and daughter since 2001.  She aspires to find time to create something everyday and she loves to play with paper, pocket scrapping, altered art, card making, stamping and photography. Layers and layers of inks, paints, stencils and stamps with a sprinkle of something shiny all culminate to create what Vicki likes to refer to as ECLECTIC FUNK. If it has layers, lots of color and it was fun to make than that’s where you will find this mixed media paper crafter!

We have loved seeing Vicki’s signature mixed-media style combine with Elle’s Studio products in a textural and colorful way! Thank you so much for your beautiful projects, Vicki! Be sure to see more of Vicki’s work with her mixed-media product on her YouTube channel and Instagram feed.
