A Thankful List with Jen Schow

We often think of autumnal pages in warm hues of orange, yellow and red, but today Jen Schow is showing us just how beautiful and perfect an unlikely color scheme can be. Plus, she has a process video to share with us. Let’s take a look at what she created!

Hey there! It’s Jen here to share another layout + process video with you using the October kit and coordinating extras. Autumn is by far my favorite season and I always like to create some sort of list of things I’m thankful for. The new products this month made that super easy!

Supplies: October 2017 Kit, So Cozy Stamp, Wood Veneer Leaves, Thankful Acrylic, Puffy Heart StickersFamily Fun 12 x 12 Paper Collection, Family Fun 6 x 6 Paper Stack, Title Builder Stamp

I don’t know about you, but I find myself taking photos of trees and leaves all the time, but not all of them necessarily have a story to go with them. A “thankful” or “currently” list is a great place to get photos like that used up, like I did here.

I combined the Thankful Acrylic with “this is my” from the Title Builder Stamp and my handwriting to create my title. I love when several elements come together like that.

I used the yellow plus sign tag from the October Kit as a jumping off point for my journaling and combined fall-ish things I was thankful for, like crisp air + cool sheets. It was a fun way to do a list and with plus signs being so trendy, it’s a great way to play off of that motif.

I finished with some Puffy Heart Stickers and a die cut heart from the kit, those gorgeous Wood Veneer Leaves, and a little paint splatter. I think that by adding in the yellow and woodgrain with all the blue, it gives the layout that cozy feel while still having a fresh look.
