Transparencies are a great way to add depth to a design without adding extra bulk. 
Lay the transparencies directly over a photo to add text in the “white space” like I did below using the “I’ll Treasure This Forever” piece from the SHINE collection.
The stars in the mini Patriotic collection offers a great variety that can be used for everyday layouts such as the one I am sharing here today.

The next few samples I pulled from my Project Life album. This is one place in particular I love to use the transparencies. Again because, they are perfect for adding depth and interest without adding bulk. 
The “The Best” frame piece is from the new SHINE collection. It worked perfectly to highlight our camp breakfast.
