I pulled a few projects from the amazing Design Team gallery that show off those great products! Wow, what amazing talent!
I was inspired by how Waisam Ho, used the wood veneer piece directly in the Project Life pocket. It fits perfectly! I love that piece and really wanted to use it on my April title page. To change it up a bit I added the “today” paper over top; placed just right so I could still read the “in my life” portion. To be honest, my first thought was “I can’t cover the wood veneer up!”. But, something I have learned over the years of scrapbooking is to JUST USE it! You can love a piece or a product, but if you save it for that “perfect” layout it may sadly remain in a drawer for way too long. So, in the end, I covered up most of the cut out portion, but what I ended up with I love for this certain page! Moral of the story: think out side the box and don’t be afraid to use the product. There is no better way to highlight your favorite piece than by actually including it in your album!
One thing I love about stamps; well besides the fact that you can use them over and over again, is the ability to create a visual layer without bulk. I stamped the “noteworthy” image and added my letters ontop. I outlined them with a black Sharpie to help them pop even more. Another simple way to add depth.
Don’t forget these Add Ons each month are limited quanities! Once they are gone they are gone. So, if you haven’t snagged these up I would suggest doing so today!
And don’t forget to upload your projects to our member gallery! We love to see how you are using the Elle’s Studio products. You may just be highlighted during one of the “Project Highlight” posts and win a gift certificate!
