Project Life: Travel Edition

This week’s Project Life covers a page in my Disney Travel album.

Fall Break is upon us, and I know many of you will be traveling!  I will often tell people that if they are considering the Project Life/ pocket styled scrapbooking method, start by documenting a vacation.  It helps to have an “ending point” in mind as you put together your album.  Vacations are perfect for pocket style scrapbooking!

We visited Walt Disney World in May of this year, and I have really enjoyed documenting this vacation using the Project Life method.  Obviously, I am not documenting in a week-by-week method, but rather, focusing in blocked events and using Project Life page dividers to mark each day.  This page documents our evening exploring the Magic Kingdom.

I decided to balance all the fireworks/evening photos by placing the Elle’s Studio “Love you to the Moon and Back” journaling card on the opposite page.  The chalkboard effect in this card is a perfect balance to the darker photos on the opposite page.

While traveling, I am very aware of odds and ends to save in order to add to my albums later.  For instance, the receipt of the $5 water bottle (!!!) at the Disney Parks was worth noting and saving.  I also love saving maps in order to document our day (this is great for amusement parks, zoos, museums, etc).

We want to feature your Project Life album!  During the last week of each month we will be featuring a couple Project Life spreads that caught our eye in the Member Gallery.  We will be posting Project Life spreads on our blog tomorrow!   If your spread is featured we will be sending you a $5 gift card to use in our store.   Good Luck!

Project Life was created by Becky Higgins as a way to simplify how you document life and preserve memories. Photo pockets used in my Project Life album are created by Becky and can be found here.  You can read of all the Elle’s Studio Project Life posts here.
