Capture Life – Freeze the action

It’s not always just the “big” moments in life that we need to focus clearly on; it’s those small accomplishments that mean so much to our little ones.

Recently my three year old woke up so excited to tell me about how her daddy & her “boys” (brothers) taught her how to ride her bike without training wheels the day before. So, with camera in hand we went out on a cold & drizzly October morning and laughed and clapped for our excited little girl as her older brother gave her a gentle push start. I probably looked like a crazy lady running ahead of her in my pjs to capture these quick moments, but  it was so worth it!
Life is fast paced and in the world of photography it takes a fast shutter speed to freeze those memories forever.
For these particular images I used my Canon 24-70mm lens at f4.5 1/1000 ISO 500

You’ll notice I mixed in a few black & white images in my layout. Not only did this add a bit more interest to my design, but I was also able to hide the fact that my son was wearing a red sweatshirt that didn’t mesh so well color wise with my page. It’s the little things right? LOL!

A quick way to add a bit more journaling or information to your page is to add wording directly into your image via Photoshop before sending it to print.

Now, let’s get those photos on a page and our memories recorded!

I created a spread in my Project Life album this time around using both the September and October Tag kits together.

I also mixed in a bit of the new Penelope collection; which is now in stock BTW!

I hope you are inspired to get out and capture your life in action today!
