Project Life

This week’s Project Life covers the week of September 24-30th.

I have to say, documenting the fall season has been my favorite so far.  It’s a lot of fun to incorporate fall activities, colors, and even the everyday in my layouts.

However, I tried to keep a balance of the “everyday” yet keep with a fall-ish theme.  I stopped by a farmers market this week and snapped photos of their beautiful and unique pumpkin display.  It was the perfect “filler” for photos this week.  We also had a week full of everyday chores, field trips, football, and parties.

One of my favorite iPhone apps is PostalPix.  I usually print my Instagram photos from this app.  You can order on your phone and the prints are mailed to you.  Just recently they have included a 2×2 size to their prints (4×4 was the smallest print prior to this).

Not only is it super exciting to have this smaller size, but the prints come in a 6×6 collage sheet.  You can keep the collage in-tact or you can trim the photos.  I created a collage from a fun birthday party to include as an insert.  The 6×6 page protector is by We R Memory Keepers.  I trimmed the 6×6 spot from the full 12×12 sheet.

Since the party was an outdoor movie party, I kept the back side of the insert plain with just pattern paper.  This star paper is older paper by October Afternoon– it went perfectly with the party theme.  Sometimes it’s fun to breakaway from your color scheme and represent the moments you are documenting.

I placed an Elle’s Studio Sweet Life Pennant at the bottom of the insert with the party favor we all received.

On the right side of the layout I told a few everyday stories from our “extra” activities– football and ballet.  These activities have made our weeks very busy but it’s a fun part of our lives right now.
