Project Life

This week’s Project Life covers the week of May 28- June 3.
This week we were on vacation in Michigan!   We also went to a family wedding on our way home from Michigan, so it made for an FULL week in my Project Life album.

I tried not to get too focused on placing events in chronological order.  I tend to lean towards what looks best— so I placed the wedding program in the center of my layout (even though it occurred at the end of the week).  It looked best there, and didn’t get lost in the mix, so I went with it!
On the left side I used many photos that were taken on the same day.  As you can see from the small weather photo, the temperature dipped dramatically in the middle of our trip so all of our lake photos were on the same day.
A while ago I picked up a pack of doilies at the grocery store, I decided to use one of the doilies and place it in the center of the wedding program.  I journaled a bit about this being our vacation week which ended in a family wedding.
On the back of the program I journaled a bit about some of my favorite moments about the wedding (especially the moments I don’t have photos for).
After the wedding program, I included a second insert.  It’s actually one of Becky Higgin’s Project Life Design A pages cut in half.  I trimmed the far right smaller pocket so I could have an Elle’s Studio Handmade Layers small circle tag peeking out.  I then stitched the pocket back together.

On the backside of the insert I included an enlargement of a sunrise photo at the lake.  I printed the photo as an 8×12, trimmed it down a bit, and placed it vertically in my layout.

Aside from the wedding program, I also included the wedding menu and packaging from a shopping trip in Michigan.  Documenting a week of vacation is a lot of fun!!  To keep it from being overwhelming (especially if there are many photos) remind yourself that you don’t have to include every photo you took, and you can always include a few inserts!
