Handmade With Love – Day 5 – Count the Ways!

We often tell the special ones in our life “I love you!” but we rarely tell them how much or why we love them the way we do! Here is some fun inspiration to create a fun “Let Me Count the Ways” mini album that will do just that!

You could use any type of number stamps and cardstock you have already, but for ours we used our So In Love Journaling Tags, Cut Outs: So In Love and Cut Outs: Count The Ways Numbers. They all coordinate perfectly! For the front cover I used the American Crafts heart paper, which I love!! And then just some simple cardstock on the inside.

I covered each side of a small (4 x 6 inch) chipboard album, rotating between the 5 cardstock colors I picked out.

Here’s a look at the cover – the flower embellishment (and heart paper) is from American Crafts and the journaling sticker is from this set.

On the back I added the “Handmade for you with love by:” journaling tag that comes in the same set with the tag as above.

Then, I cut out all the “Cut Outs”

And, started laying things out! You can put a photo on each page, along with a number and then a little journaling spot. Examples could be “You’re always there for me”, “You always say the right things”, “For always taking care of me”, etc!

At this point I was going to start adding photos… but then thought “Hey! I could give the mini book away with the other goodies” So, this little mini book above is included in our giveaway today! I didn’t glue anything down on the inside so you will be able to add your photos, numbers and journaling spots wherever you choose! I hope you like it 🙂
We love hearing about what you’d want your coupon to say in yesterdays post, so today we want to hear “Who is the someone special in your life you’d finish the mini book for?” This could be anyone, don’t forget about parents, grandparents, kids, nieces, cousins and more!

One winner will receive all the goodies pictured above! There are lots of supplies there to finish the mini book, plus a little candy, too! The winner will be announced January 24th, so make sure you check back then! If you haven’t entered the other contests, please feel free to do so! All close on the same day, January 24th 🙂
P.S. Tomorrow we will be starting part one of our last project and it will include a free download! Part two, on the following day, will include on of our biggest giveaways ever! It’s over a $80 value so you won’t want to miss it!

I mean my parents know I love them, my niece always receives something handmade by me with lots of love when I see her, my friends are the best ones and I never miss an opportunity to show them how much I care about them and my boyfriend will definitely receive something nice for Valentine’s day..
But on this day I always feel a little sorry for the people who don’t have someone special in their life.. People who don’t have a family or someone to count on.. It would be really wonderful if I made something that could be left in a public place and random people could just look at it and then pass it to someone else, letting them feel the love.. Wouldn’t that be great? 🙂

I would make this for my teen aged son because when they get to be that age, the gushing love just doesn’t flow like when they were little, but it is still there and he needs to know that!
    thanks! love your hearts!!

I would finish this book for my little brother. He is only 26 and was just diagnosed with cancer. We were the typical brother and sister that fought our whole lives growning up, but ever since I moved away to college 10 years ago, he has absolutely become my best friend. I would love to have a way to tell him how much he really means to me.

  162. Rachel says

How cute! I’d totally complete it for my hubby 🙂

  163. Alex says

I have a very special sister in law that I would love to complete this for.

  164. Mandy says

This give away is just too cute and what a great idea to not quite finish it. You made me stop and think. I would give it to my grandmother who at 85 just had gall bladder surgery and things went well but is having a hard time finding the strength so she can come home to live on her own.

What a great album! I need to do one for my husband so he can take it with him when he travels.

  166. Angi says

My boyfriend of three years is the love of my life, my best friend and my savior. He saved my life! Literally. I was in the deepest depression that I woke up one day and wanted to end my life, even tried one day. Luckily, I survived. This, was two years ago and this man has made it his mission to spend every day of his life showing me how special I am and how I need to live and how beautiful my life is, he saved my life and has made my life so very beautiful. I would make this book for him, as a small token to try and return the tiniest bit of appreciation for all that he has done for me!

  167. Kim says

Super Cute. It would sooo be for my husband. I dote enough on my son, so scrapping for my husband would mean so much.

  168. Amy says

I would make this for the hubs and here’s why. For 6 years he has stood by me, loved me, looked past all my faults. For 3 years, we tried to get pregnant and finally we were blessed with a baby boy. I can’t tell him enough how much I appreciate all the sacrifices he makes for us. This would be a constant reminder.

  169. I would make this mini album to my son, who will be 18 years-old next February, 1st.
    I love this project.

  170. Szilvi says

I would create such an album for my (not so) little sister. She’s a very important person in my life. But as siblings usually do, we fight a lot. So once I really sould tell her how much I love her.
